Our Practice
Ina Dentistry is the practice of James W. Symonds, DDS, and provides general dentistry to Tucson, Oro Valley, and Marana. We are located just East of the Foothills Mall at 7516 N La Cholla Blvd.
It is our mission to provide exceptional dental care in a comfortable and compassionate environment, strive to have a positive impact on our patients of all ages, exceed expectations at every opportunity and educate patients about the value of excellent oral health.
We provide everything from crowns and fillings to cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening. Our philosophy is to help people feel welcome and comfortable. We understand that visiting the dentist can be an anxious experience for some people. We strive to emphasize the “care” in our patient care. Our incredible staff makes all the difference in the world and we’ve got the lifetime patients to prove it.

Dr. Symonds has been practicing dentistry since 1987. He has been with Ina Dentistry since 2001. He grew up in Washington State and received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington State University. He is and always will be a lifelong Cougars fan. Dr. Symonds received his dental degree from the University of Washington. After graduation he had his own practice in Yakima, WA. Establishing long term relationships with his patients and working with a great support team is his favorite part of working at Ina Dentistry.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Symonds enjoys spending time with his daughter Skylar and his son Jake. He loves anything outdoors and spends his spare time skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, boating and participating in triathlons, including two Iron Man competitions.

Alesha started here in 2010 as a dental assistant at the recommendation of her sister’s sister-in-law. Although she specializes in helping make you feel comfortable in the dental chair, she is also excellent at helping out the front office when needed. She and her high school sweetheart have two children and a large, extended family that keep her very busy outside of the office. She is also a proud softball mom.
